On Monday we had a workshop with Annie and Anna that was dedicated to incorporating an experimenting with color in our work.
I realized fairly recently when putting my portfolio together, that I have become increasingly monochromatic with my work–so this workshop was really lovely for creating inspiration.
I was particularly excited about the prospect of printing and screening, as I am making these beast stamps, and coloring them will add an entirely different weight. I also like the idea of printing, because the error and wear of the stamp have narrative potential as well.
Going forward, I am excited to see how I can combine this with risograph printing to create some interesting printed work.
